smile for the sunshine 2007-11-23 . chapter 1
I think that if you have to make an analysis of your own poem, that your poem was not detailed enough or you are too worried about what people think. My suggestion to you: write how you feel. Don't explain it. Make your works very vague but...unique and strong in figurative language. Let people's imagination, and own person decide what the poem means. My poem "broken is beautiful" almost nobody got what I was hoping out of it. But that's okay. When people don't understand it, or get something out of it that's personal to them, they find it more enjoyable. But just show; don't tell (in a review or the actual poem)...I think that it would be stronger without it. After you explained it, I got something different out of it, and saw it as better...BUT I don't think that is what you want...When you publish a collection of poetry, are you going to be able to do that same thing? Think about it that way. Anyways, the poem was good. Just my opinions. = )
