Sorry, I kind of suck at writing reviews. :P |
class.act 2009-07-17 . chapter 17Yes, I'm so glad that the mystery is finally under way! All I can gather till now is that Leah was somehow involved in the arson -don't know if she was the one responsible, though. And, of course, that it's a guy, one who knew that Adrienne was staying with Gabe on the very first day itself, knows Gabe's phone number, and has access to his house. The way you described the scene with John McKenna hints at him being the one responsible, but I can't think of a possible motive. His father wasn't involved in his life, so that could possibly be the link. Anyways, since you obviously want the reader to suspect John, I'm not so sure.
Please, please update soon! I love mysteries, and I can't wait to read more. |
class.act 2009-07-17 . chapter 9Don't tell me, Adrienne is going to try to seduce Gabriel? God, I can't wait to read more. But I was a bit confused this chapter: What exactly does Gabe do? I've been wondering since the beginning, but always forgot to mention it. Now that you elaborated on his past a bit, I'm more curious than ever. Did he attend college? How does he support his lifestyle? The meagre jobs that he did before could hardly pay for it.
Also, I thought that Joanie and Leo weren't at home, and that's why Gabe has to go out to buy some food, so how come they're at home now?
Anyways, I like Eve. She seems nice and I think that she plays the supportive sister part well. I'm guessing that there's something in her future with Tyson McDermott? Although I did find it a bit weird when she referred to her brother's voice as being sexy and whisky smooth.
This has turned into a long review full of questions, huh? But I really like this story and I'm just a bit confused. |
class.act 2009-07-17 . chapter 7Pretty serious stuff, these last two chapters. Not that I mind, explains Adrienne and her insecurities. I really don't understand though why Gabriel gave Leah money, a *blank* cheque at that. Considering how angry he was, and knowing Adrienne's history, it just seems weird. He should have just kicked them out.
Also, spotted some typos. Distinctly remember reading about how Adrienne is six and a half feet tall. |
class.act 2009-07-17 . chapter 5God, I actually thought that Jake was Carrie's boyfriend or s'thing, certainly not her dog! Again, loved it; am happy that Gabe finally gave in, and really like that Adrienne knows her mind and doesn't deny her attraction to him. Also really amusing how everyone but Gabe and Adrienne keep deriving secret enjoyment from watching Gabe fall in love with Adrienne -including me, of course. Spotted another typo, though. |
class.act 2009-07-17 . chapter 4Loved this chapter. The drunken-ness, he cute-ness, and most of all, the humour. And Gabe! His frustration is so amusing, almost as much as Adrienne's righteous anger spiels. You really do write well. I'll move on to the next one now :) |
class.act 2009-07-17 . chapter 3I love the parents. They make me smile. I wouldn't mind reading their story, what with all the knocking up and not believing in love "even when it had whacked her right between the eyes". Really enjoyed the phone conversation -which four languages, btw? Irish, English...- and Adrienne's anger -reminded me of Elizabeth's reaction to Darcy's proposal in P&P. I spotted a couple of typos, though, so maybe you should check that out. |
