Very nice work! I liked the first stanza best. And these lines were simply beautiful:

"Lingering/Like footsteps in the sand/Like fingerprints on the heart"

Mmhm .. really great imagery. Reminds me of the song by Mat Kearney, "Breathe In Breathe Out ". I love the repetition of "out" in the second stanza. With each "out" I imagined a harder breath - harder to breathe - as you loose more and more air and almost a pain that comes with that until you are almost breathless. And the air that another blows in is the turning point of this poem.
