haha that was good - perfectly describing the idiocy of labelling. :D we don't get it much in england (well, there's chav, goth, emo...can't-think-of-any-more-at-the-moment)but when it DOES happen its fracking irritating. get a life losers!

oh my god . . . you don't even know how much i've been wanting to say this exact stuff to people. it's so true and thank you so much for putting it out there, though many peole won't read past the first line.

i have no idea who you are or anything about you but if you're as strong and determined and independent as this poem shows you're my idol. seriously.

I agree. I thought it was really funny...in seventh grade I wore black nail polish one week and my hair is naturally dark brown. I had at least three people call me goth. And then my other friend was like "the world would end if she went goth; she's a hard core christain." I had to shake my head at all of them...Then I've been labeled emo, and etc. etc. etc. So I agree with you...Labels are stupid. And there's more to life than what we look like...Good job.

I've been trying to stick up for myself at school from those who label me stupid or preppy or a girly girl just because I'm a cheerleader, because it's not true. And I always come up short for words. This poem basically says it all, and I think it gives a lot of people more self-esteem to know that other people know what they might be going through in their life. Very powerful. --Marie Jane (feel free to R&R my story)
