Ishara Studios 2008-01-08 . chapter 2I like it. The characters are entertaining, though poor Galahad seems to get more than his fair share of unconscious time...
The pacing feels a bit off to me, though; the characters seem rushed. It might be a bit late for constructive criticism, but I've always found that letting the characters progress at their own rate works better... Not an easy phenomenon to explain, but you can let the characters run the course of the story on their own; don't feel that you have to rush them through introductions to get to the interesting part of a story. Characters are the crux of a story, after all; they're the reason we pick up fantasy books. The environment we can imagine, and most all plots are redundant in some sense or other - the key is in the characters. Always be sure to give them their due (and perhaps a bit more). |
Ishara Studios 2008-01-07 . chapter 1Only one review? How sad; the content's really quite good. The setting's really well-implemented. Perhaps the area is preconstructed, but I feel right in step with the characters despite not having read about Camelot in years. The characters and language reflect that, too - the atmosphere is enchanting.
I look forward to reading more of the story. Yay for having a new book to peruse! |
Midnightveil 2007-12-19 . chapter 1Wow, the story so far is very well written. When I first saw it, I was a little hesitant to read. I dont know how many stories I've seen about Camelot and King Arthur. But I'm glad I decided to read.
Lol, Adelaide...I wonder if someone can really be so delusional.. =o |
