| Ramza the Heretic 2007-12-09 ch 1, | abuseI'm not sure if it's just me but the subject matter seems very abstract to me and the theme/message..well, I know not what it is. :P Do pardon me. What I could sense though is that, in this poem, you juxtapose notions to do with segregation and congregation. Am I right? I'm quite confused in the middle of the poem. It would seem from the first six lines that the persona is condemning the notion of isolation and wants people to reach out to other people and stand united. But in the following quote, "If the world's hearts are beating in unison, who is there to tell us we're wrong?" it's almost as though there's a switch in point of view. This is the part that's got me a tad confused. Hmm..I may need help fully understanding this. Perhaps you could enlighten me? Also, why do you borrow the words of Aesop, Shakespeare, and Franklin? |
