Have you read The Time Traveller's Wife? Because this is really similar...which is a good thing. One thing though, it's on poetry format, and if it was just done as prose it would be much easier to read. Liking this, hope there's more.

I like your interpretation of "jumping" through time. It has a whimsical quality that isn't used as often with this idea and it's more about colossal confusion than anything else. Almost as if the narrator is having some joke played on him, or maybe just fell between the "cracks" of time. There's a superficial similarity to the show Journeyman, but I don't particularly condemn you for it.
