nicely written, very powerful. Is this a oneshot? THere seems to be so much more about the family and the characters relationships that could be explored. On the other hand this retains a lot of its power in this form, some of the descriptions are good, and the hoped for futures very poignent.

One thing that is never made clear is the setting (time and place). But i guess it doesn;t really need to be. Well written generally, i very much enjoyed it.
