ch 1,
abuseI like this. Our burdens are at the cross on calvary, years ago along with our sins. Amazing, huh? You would probably like my pieces, 'i've been dying to tell the world' and 'hammers and rusted nails'. They are all about Christ. But isn't life supposed to be? I mean, he gave everything so shouldn't we? I don't mean just saying "halleljuah" all day long but like living our lives in a way that's pleasing to Christ (to the best of our ability) is a form of worship, too. (at least I think so). Good work. Keep writing. = )

ch 1,
abusethank you so much for your beautiful review of my poem -- i truly appreciate your kind words. they inspired me to keep writing, and it touched me to know that i'm able to affect someone with my words as deeply as i affected you. that's a huge reason why i write -- to spread the glory and truth of the Lord Jesus, my Savior and God, and tell the world that there is hope - redemption - forgiveness and healing, even after three years of major depression, severe anxiety, addiction to cutting, an extremely painful obsession with a girl, religious issues, self-loathing, self-destruction and self-abuse, three hospitalizations and a suicide attempt. i once thought that my heart had been wounded and scarred beyond repair, but on the night that i cried out to Jesus, He washed away my wounds and held me and saved me from sin and from myself, and i've known the joy and peace of salvation ever since. there have been times when i've been extremely depressed and doubted that i've been saved, but i'm always brought back to the truth and continue to grow spiritually, knowing that i'm still freshly born again and can't keep expecting myself to get everything absolutely perfect in only a month.

anyway, that's some of my story - the rest is explained through my poetry, and i plan to post a lot more over the next few days and weeks. i'm sorry for rambling, but this poem just touched me so deeply. your faith and trust in our precious, loving Savior is incredible, and made me smile. your belief and love for Him shines through clearly through this beautifully written, absolutely gorgeous piece of writing. it's truly beautiful - the meaning, the truth, and the way you wrote it. the feeling and emotion behind the beautiful words shine through - this poem is truly gorgeous. definitely a favorite.

never stop writing - i can tell that you have a passion for the Lord and for poetry. i'm always available on here if you ever want to talk - you can always review or message me anytime. :) God bless you, and have a holy, blessed, peaceful and joyous Christmas (as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and King! praise and glory to our Father! thanks be to God!) and a wonderful new year.

in the peace and love of Christ,
alison xx
