I love this story!

THis beginning is EPIC

I absolutely love this story so far. Sorry I didn't do a review for each chapter. The story just snagged me and I couldn't stop until, well I had to. I love the mystery you weaved into the plot. Where it seems that no one is telling the whole truth and you only learn bits and pieces that make you wonder. Can't wait for the next installment.

So. Unintentionally you just made a story from my two favourite things in a story: yaoi and mythology. Or the supernatural. But I find things like sea creatures really interesting (I'm a dork, so sue me, haha) and a lot of other things to do with mythology or folklore. I really love urban legends, too. But I loved the story, and I think Piper is the best one I've read about in a story so far. Usually people are focused on vampires and werewolves at the moment, but even though I like those creatures, too, usually it's just a mindless plot that reminds you to much of a certain vampire/werewolf story (cough-Twilight-cough) I did like it but you can't look anywhere anymore without hearing SOMEthing about it. It's nice for a break from it. But The Little Mermaid? Pfft. Ursula freaked me out when I was three or whatever. I'd vote for Ira and the Sirens any day. But that doesn't really count considering I consider Disney films as faux passes into the realm of coolness. Something I don't think they deserve. Fair enough, Peter Pan, is admittedly awesome, but other than that, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White? Not so much. It's like lyrics to that song from Sara Bareillies. 'The story needs some mending, and a better happy ending'. So, so true. Anyways. I have no idea why my mind wanders like that all the time. But I really loved the story. I love Piper, he's the best character I've read about in a long time. I guess it's sort of refreshing at how he looks at the human's and their life. Like the fact he's amazed by Ira's fingers and his warmth. I found it upsetting to find out he had no nipples. He needs nipples for a certain part of...pleasuring. I know, I know. I have an over-active dirty mind. It's something I'm reminded about on a hour-to-hour basis. I'd like to say I'm working on it but I enjoy those dirty thoughts to much. And I could never lie. Even on an email. Seriously. I'm cursed. By...the evil sea witch. Ha! You can't prove I wasn't. But, just so you know, it's a really amazingly great story. Update soon! Please? Would it make a difference if I said...you can have an imaginary offering of green gummy bears (guess which ones I don't like XD) but serioualy. You can't just leave a phsycopath like me on a cliffhanger like that! I may damage my...boyfriend. Just kidding. I love him too much, and all the shizzle. I cannot believe I just said shizzle. I really am insane. Oh my god. I need to go think things through...haha.

I happened upon you and your fictions a rather unusual way, or at least one which I havent before. I was browsing online on deviant, just really being nosey and all that when I happened upon your artwork FishTales, well lets just say I was really impressed, and what's more you put up a mini chapter explaining it!
I've not come across many of them, at least not many which grabbed my attention like yours did. Not only that but you linked it back to your site!
I kinda felt I'd died and gone to heaven. I love Mermaids, Gypsys, Pirates and anything remotely unusual and slash well I'm yaoi fan :)
So you can imagine my undying love for your work... right? ... Wrong I think I'm in love! I want more, it's safe to say I'm very much addicted and devotedly waiting for your next update!
Anywho now onto my actual review and not just singing your praises, I have to say I like how you've turned the whole Ira our hero of sorts into a normal guy without any outragiously destinguishing features. I cant count how many a fiction has the hero/heroine unbelievably beautiful or rich etc and make them seem flat and fake. Ira seems to me as flawed and realistic as any living human. I'm almost shocked at how much he seems real and connected to the audience. You are very talented and even though the fiction is fairy-tale-esk it's very much so believable I love how you've made Piper mysterious and childlike, and unexplainable the sheer lack of over analysis gives Piper that folk-tale and ledgendry persona.
Anyway I can't wait to read more of your work, and I'll most certainly be keeping an eye on this.

I love Piper in his innocence and comfortableness in getting close to people. It’s a character trait that seems so overdone, yet in Piper, coupled with his curiousity, it is genuinely a good unique combination that makes for a great character.

The scenery is so startling, I could just melt with happiness. So perfect.

Just when the action starts, you decide to put the story on Hiatus- go figure! Pssh, that’s not a mockery, its an invitation to drop whatever the heck else you’re doing and answer whether Piper is alright; who the heck the person who keeps showing up in creepy places is; what the shark-man really is; and how are they all connected? Where is this place? Can I go there too? Dude, YOU’RE the author, you make visiting these places possible; and if you stop updating.. .. .. *wails hysterically* no-o-o-o-o Piper! Ira! Martin??!
I like how this story isn’t based on high school fanatics and whatnot. It has a sort of dark beauty that more adult fantasy than child fantasy, you know.

Ooh! Very drawful story, to say the least. I clicked on it because I have a facination with Sirens (I have 5 siren characters and about like, 15 half/quarter sirens...) and then I got all sucked in! Well written, no typos, and cliffies galore! Love it, and will be waiting anxiously for an update,
