This is a reasonably well written first chapter. However, seeing that you have not updated it in almost a year, it appears that it is not going anywhere. I probably would have kept reading this story, were there more chapters, simply because you sound reasonably intelligent when you write. That, sadly, is a rare thing on FictionPress.
