I liked this piece. You did a nice job of capturing the intensity and emotions of the moment before someone resorts to cutting. I also really liked the line, “Blood has such a nice color.” However, I really do not like the italics at all. They are meant to be used for emphasis and putting the entire poem in italics just looks foolish, in my opinion. It doesn’t do anything for the piece. Keep writing!
