Jinxed Rogue 2009-10-24 . chapter 24This was a very intriguing twist. I never saw it coming, and at the same time it makes sense. Bravo. |
Jinxed Rogue 2009-10-24 . chapter 6I find this story was more imaginative than Book One. |
alternatearcadia 2009-08-22 . chapter 25Raldem was the first book in the series that I read, actually. I knew you said that this was Book 2 in your summary, but to be honest, the summary seemed more interesting than that of Book 1's (I'm a sucker for love-hate relationships), and so I figured I'd just take the plunge anyway.
I managed to quickly grasp the setting, however, so it wasn't too difficult for me. I loved the way you wrote, it was witty and incredibly funny at some points, and yet incredibly sympathetic at others. I found the definitions at the beginning at each chapter hilarious, and I liked that it was sort of a spoiler or quick summary of what was going to happen, even though I generally hate spoilers (for TV shows).
The characters were great. I adored Trixie, the way she was bossy and yet clearly intelligent as opposed to the air-head character she tended to portray. I loved how Devlin was clumsy and not at all your usual 'hero', unlike his brother, who is more of the strapping, young man people read about and come to expect in romance novels. Benji, bless his heart, grew on me so quickly I could not fault him for bringing about the entire problem in the first place, and Jannicka was strangely perfect.
And of course, the ending was sweet, and set the stage for the next book so perfectly that I found myself clicking on Book 3 within seconds of finishing this book. |
AndItMovesUsAll 2009-07-23 . chapter 25Ohmygod, i was just coming over here to go over this book because ive read this series already, and ive been reading the best m-rated at SKOW, and so i was going to vote for it (because this is one of my favourite series of books ever, and therefore this tops the others that have been nominated :D) when i saw that even though this is one of my favourites in this series, i hadnt even commented or added it to my favourites list. (whew! long, confusing sentence!) So im so sorry because i know it must be annoying when people cant leave one little review after you put it up here to hear peoples opinions on it...and i honestly dont remember why i didnt, i have on all the others i must have planned on reviewing it later because i often get addicted and read into the night and have to review in the morning to avoid totally incoherent shitty reviews.
Anyway so now i cant give you a great review because the stories not fresh in my mind, but i know that Devlin is one of my favourite characters, hes just so unique and likeable, and i loved the way their relationship progressed, with the tension and chemistry. Ah well, my longer reviews are usually only because they contain a lot of cons. critism and you write really well anyway. |
 Summer Leah 2009-06-11 . chapter 1Oh...*tear*
poor Trixie! |
 kcat 2009-05-26 . chapter 25 meh.
I'm not too fond of this series so far and I'm trying to figure out why.
I think it may be because it doesn't enough plot to carry off the fact that the actual plot is pure romance.
It could just be that I don't like the romance - it all feels very samey: they despise/desire each other, there is angst, there's a sexual altercation, there's a misunderstanding/one of them pushing the other away, there is angst, friends plot for resolution, there's sex and happily ever after.
Plus the style (understandably) doesn't change at all.
It could also be that a romance heavy plot puts me in the mood for realism, in which case I should not be reading this.
Or that I don't like the sex.
Or that I don't like your characters for this series. In fact that could be it, it's not that I don't like them I'm just not drawn to any of them, at all, which means I'm much less interested in their fates. Plus I think I'd like the characters if they were how other characters speak of them being, or how you say they are occaisionally in description, but that's not how they actually are (or at least it didn't come accross for me). |
Kura-sama 2009-05-08 . chapter 25I'm slowly working my way through reading all of your stories XD It's a long journey but it is very entertaining ^^ I will eventually finish all the books you have written~
I think I like Scepter of light best so far. Though I have a feeling I might like Douglass' story a lot too... I shall be going to read his book now ^^ |
Reenie 2009-04-24 . chapter 25 Wow another great story! I loved the hate/love relationship at the beginning. Now I can't wait to read about Douglass and his happy ending =D |
mspotts 2009-04-01 . chapter 25Wow, that was even better than the last one. The stories become more enthralling and deeper as they go on. I think the relationship between Trixie and Devlin was more real and certainly more unique - which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. Even though you have sex scenes, they don't become crude and you can see them as largely central to the story's management. I eagerly anticipate Douglass's story, which I'm sure will be the most entertaining yet. |
Genato 2009-03-31 . chapter 25as always, very very nice. |
 Angel-Leigh Jones 2009-01-26 . chapter 25hiya
another great story. Can't wait to read the next one. I love how they are written - that they have the same characters and its like carrying on with the first story but only better and by someone elses point of view.
Great writing. i hope you publish soon. I would buy these books because they are great. Well done.

cosmopolitan 2009-01-04 . chapter 25poor dear, she's dead is she? that makes sense, i suppose, why the widow wants to marry him now and all... so sad, bitter sweet ending really, brilliant work on your part! |
Czanne 2009-01-01 . chapter 25...for the times that you cracked me up with this story, for the times it made my cry quite foolishly, for the times it made a goofy smile stick to my face like glue for an entire day, and for the COUNTLESS times you made me impressed with this story, I have to thank you for finding your time to write this story.
I really hate to admit this, but truthfully, I'm already done with the third book in the story, finished with the Firewalker series, done with Scepter of Light, and quite hungrily waiting for the next book in the Sun series.
I really liked the way how you make such endearingly captivating characters, how you manage to satisfy my hopeless-romantic needs with your plots, and how you seem to hypnotize me into reading your magnificently written works continuously. How you manage to achieve such miracles is beyond me, but in a weird way, I don't have any doubts that you will be a great writer once you put your career in it.
I know this I'll sound like an idiot for saying this, since I'm also guilty of the same crime, but it disappoints me to see such a marvelous story being reviewed by few. Ironically, I find such a story with many reviews lame, but for a story such as yours with almost no reviewers...well, there's no words to express my gratitude for having to read such works.
Hoping you'll continue to amaze me with your stories,
Czanne |
Alicat1194 2008-10-04 . chapter 25 You're right, while book one was great, this one was absolutely brilliant! (Also 'man-whore extraordinaire', wonderfuly description :). |
BleedingTwilight 2008-07-11 . chapter 25Another fantastic story! I was trying to put off reading this until I got some work done, but I got sucked in again and just kept reading. I especially loved the definitions at the start of every chapter. They definitely added humor. Wonderful job! |
