That's so funny. Seriously-- she reminds me of my grandmother. The mother, I mean. I needed a laugh this morning, and that was perfect.
At least her mother didn't think that Sharon actually sounded really good... and I know you said it's not literature, but this could be hysterical if you expanded it. Just think on it.

I've had this favorited for a wihle and realized I never reviewed it...

I like the mother character. Her unafraid bluntness provides a refreshing perspective.

The relationship between the two is well done. The dialogue and description are well matched to it. It's realistically done.
