Reviews for More Than You Know
Double Plus Special 6/26/09 . chapter 48
So, with ulterior motive of encouraging you to update I thought I'd review your story again. P

I have decided my favourite character is Donner. It would be so easy to write him as a bad guy, but I really like the way you show his positive side. The sibling relationship you've created is so accurate, it reminds me of my own big bro and I. The way he looks out for her is sweet even though in practically every other way he's a bastard.

It's interesting that the mum doesn't seem to have a softer side, or will that be revealed when Liberty finally talks things over?

It's also interesting that Tim seems to be behind Libby when it comes to relationship experiencing. I love gay boys, but honestly, all mine are complete man-whores. Tim is sweetly innocent in comparison.
P Rest 6/17/09 . chapter 48
These three new chapters have honestly turned my day around. As I continue to hit the backspace button in confusion of how to write a review for such an indescribable story, this is all I can say. I truly wonder if there will be a happy ending. My fears of what is to come the next day for the characters are terrible, but perhaps that is just me.
rage of aquarius 6/8/09 . chapter 48
I like a lot of things about this chapter, of course, too numerous to go into - but what I like best is the tiredness of it. When both Max and Liberty agree that they just want it to be over...and Liberty isn't thinking so much about being in Max's presence, being so physically/emotionally/mentally aware of it. Both of them are just *tired.* It's so fitting.
Double Plus Special 6/8/09 . chapter 47
Agh. Cliff hanger! P Just wanted to say I loved this chapter in its lightheartedness and your story is one of the very best I've read on fictionpress. Also, yay for quick updates.
Morning Star2 6/8/09 . chapter 47
Awesome chapter!

Cannot wait for the next, oh the cliff hangers
rage of aquarius 6/7/09 . chapter 47
[“You’re adorable,” she said into my ear. “God. I could eat you up in little tiny bites.”

Flirting was a new skill for me – just like pool – but I thought maybe I was getting the hang of it, a little. “Wouldn’t that hurt?”]

I love this! It's a perfect complement to Liberty's naivete, which is growing into more of an adult awareness right before my eyes.

[“I would if it was up to me,” I said, bending down so I could say the words right against the skin of her cheek. “It’s not that I don’t want to. Things are just … complicated.”

She smiled that slow smile at me, a gleam of white against the shadows. “Yeah?”

“I have to keep it simple, that’s all,” I said.

And then I kissed her.]

...and that's just hot!

Beautiful. I really enjoyed this chapter! Perfect flow, and nice cliffhanger.

Utterly amazing, as always. I'm thrilled that you are going to see this through. Sometimes I think Max is redeemable, sometimes I think she isn't-either way, I'm going to keep reading! Keep it comin' (if you please).
CorvaCarolina 6/5/09 . chapter 5
wow, why are you not published? You have just the right amount of detail in your narration and Liberty is a very sympathetic character. Seriously, you should try to publish this!
emj 5/14/09 . chapter 45
Wow! I really, really love your story. I grew up in a zealously religious and ultra-conservative family in a small southern town, so I can really relate to the white supremacy stuff, the rhetoric about 'the liberals', the religious fervor at Jubilee, etc. Thankfully I wasn't forced into going to a school like that myself... I compromised with my parents by going to a science/tech-focused college instead of one of those "hippie-infested liberal arts schools" ... lol. Somehow I still ended up gay though - lol. I've known people who have attended those sorts of isolated, draconian Christian 'refuges' from the real world, though. What I've heard about them makes my stomach turn.

The line that you had Rachelle say, about being able to disagree with someone while still loving them, was very moving to me as well, given the amount of ostracism I deal with with family. Of course, it's harder to put that into practice than it is to say, but I still appreciated the reminder :)

Anyway, the story is well-written with characters that really jump out of the page. The plot is gripping and not hackneyed, and I really enjoyed reading about some things I wasn't that familiar with, such as the dialog about music, opera, etc. My knowledge of opera has basically always been limited to Sarah Brightman and Josh Groban (whom I don't particularly like). It's clear that you're quite familiar with musical theory yourself. I enjoy learning something *real* in a story (as opposed to how many swishes and flicks a spell is in harry potter - lol).

I liked Max's character, despite hating her guts for her actions. Regardless of how despicable she is, she's well-written and came across as an intriguing character. I will say, though, that it bugged me seeing Liberty (which, by the way, struck me as a nice name choice for her white power background) being so forgiving. Max's actions in getting close to her to manipulate her into shutting down the Fund are justifiable. But it could have stopped there. The rest of her actions (outing Liberty, the sex tapes, etc) were completely unjustifiable imho. There was no motive there beyond Max getting money from her Uncle as a prize. I hope, if Max is indeed going to end up back with Liberty, that she will either go through a lot to redeem herself or reveal something that might possibly justify her later actions. The story would still be great regardless of whether Max is redeemed or not, of course - that's just what I would like to see.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi,first time reviewer here :)

I've stumbled upon your story about a week ago, read it in a single night and have been faithfully checking it for updates since.

So I guess that's it. I just wanted you to know that I think this story is one of the most brilliant pieces of fiction I've ever read online (and I really spend way too much time reading fiction/fanfiction).

Also, I agree with whoever said you should look into getting this published. It really is that good :)

Blimey.

Well, where to start- besides the fact you are obviously an amazingly talented author.

I came across 'More Than You Know' today, and have worked through it throughout the day, having just read the last chapter.

It's taken hour upon hour, and resulted in me reading the last half dozen or so chapters with my eyes almost closed in an attempt to ease the burning pain, but it has been well worth it;

your writing is detailed, gripping, and creates vivid imagery, to say the least of your talent.

If it hasn't been published, you should really work on getting

it out there to the world- they don't know what they're missing- and i'll be first in the queues.

Thought provoking, inspirational and generally amazing.
