Well, I sort of expected that, but still! When I was reading it I was seriously at the edge of my seat! I'm really interested in how he's going to explain this to Destry... man, that would be so hard!

Despite the many plot holes that I am valiantly trying to ignore, I really enjoy this story. I like your characters a lot and I'm looking forward to seeing where you are going with this.

But since there ARE plot holes, it's really my civic duty and my odd neurotic need that I have to point them out to you. First, where was the evidence that he did it? Really without a DNA match of some kind, there's no way he would've been convicted. That said, after he was convicted, he probably wouldn't have had to serve the full sentence. Judging by his character, he would've gotten out on good behavior. And does he have an prison tats? Did anyone make him their bitch? Being a 16 year old boy, he wouldn't have made it out untouched.

And when he was out, as a convicted rapist, he would also be a registered sex offender and would have to tell his neighbors by legal obligation. Also, I'm pretty sure after your released from prison, you have to check in with your parole officer before traveling between states. I could be wrong there, though.

All that said, you might want to go through and tweak some things if you are neurotic like I am, or if you really don't care (which honestly is understandable if you're just writing for fun, but if you want to eventually do this for a living or something, I would suggest more research) you can ignore this and continue with your story. Either way, I'm adding it to my alert and I look forward to updates. _
