Why must you make me cry? With all of these you write... they're all so sad and touching.

I really love the storyline of a step-father/step-son and the way it's contrasted by the 9-11 references. Beautiful. You really rock, you know? There's a level of emotion here that's hard to find period, let alone in a blip of a short story like this.

Best thing I've read so far on this site. I really like the interaction between the two characters, and the very human and tenuous relationship comes out in both the dialogue and the rest of the prose.

Also, THANK YOU for writing something without high-school drama. One more of those, I'll pound my skull with an AK-47.
