haha! wow, I love this story so far, the writing is really well done, easy and fun to read. I love all the little metaphors you put in and this may sound weird but.. I love your use of swearing. Many authors have this thing with swearing where they either don't use it much cuz their afraid to offend someone or something or they overuse it to the point where the realism is completely gone. The overuse is annoying because you start to lose the point of what they're saying but the underuse is worse because you can only take so much of a character who would swear if they were real using words like gosh darnit! instead of God dammit. plus you lose the effect of their actual emotions. so anyway... good use of swearing ;-). LOVE the metaphor: "I hesitate as he wraps his hand around mine in a handshake. My hand is gone. His porky fingers have eaten it. I’m an amputee.
He takes his hand away, and mine materializes once again." because of its awesome originality and love the part: "What? Why the hell would he do that? Does he want to stay in the woods forever? Oh my God, if I was Heather, I’d strangle Mike right now, no matter what Josh says." because that's exactly how I think (or should I say yell to fellow audience members) when watching movies, especially the Butterfly Effect- the guy was an idiot, that's all I'm gonna say. So yes, continue with this story, hope you update soon, its really good, sorry for the unbelievably long comment..*shrug* =D
