Therese Delacoeur 2008-03-20 . chapter 2... Interesting idea. I wish that my friends would read this, but I know they'll stop as soon as they get to Michael's confession.
It's also interesting that you had Alice, an artificial human who no one knows if she can feel or even if she has a soul (she thinks she does), be an artist. I know some would say that what is asthetically pleasing is all a matter of proportions and numbers and no 'soul' attached at all, but there's something unquantifiable about the art forms. The fact that Alice is such a passionate artist--and apparently a pretty good one, to be getting commissions--tells me more about her humanity than even her love for Michael.
Nice one!

Nonya Soum 2008-01-25 . chapter 1"the one who metaphors his life. The difference." That's gold.
Beautiful story. The descriptions of Alice painting was very believable and real. That's talent. Anyone can say "Alice painted", but there was really good imagery there. Then, the artificial life part was taken just where it needed to be: short. It's perfectly satisfying for this short story. Too many details and I'd complain this needs to be a novel. It's just right as is.
Great job! Write on! |
