I’m not really sure what to say about this story, besides ‘wow’. I mean it was well-constructed with great flow. You really illustrated Dan’s confusion, his desires, and his frustrations. I especially liked the dynamics between him and his feelings towards his little sister. Often in writing, authors skip over the fact that babies cry—a lot, and it’s hella-annoying sometimes. They only write them sleeping, laughing, and cute. Your ‘little sister’ was so believable and well-done. The dynamics between Ben and Dan and Lee and Dan were just fabulous. The apology on Lee’s porch… yeah, that was just ‘it’. Well done. Many times, well done. ^_^

The ending/last chapter was a little bitter sweet. Like others, I’m sure, I was hoping for that fairy-tale ending, but those are rare in real life. This was believable and the reader can’t help but cheer for Dan and hope this is the ‘one’ for Dan, even if right now he’s a little ‘flat’ as a character. Dan’s certainty just gives him shape and dimension. It would be cool to know what happened to Ben, but in life, that’s not always possible, is it? ^_^

Thank you for this story, Danny was a good narrator, Ben was sweet and I liked that part of Lee who wanted to just love and be loved. Even though I was sometimes surprised by the shortness of the chapters it really works well and it was easy to read with enough plot to make you want to know more. Thanks a lot for your work.

i really liked this story! it was really good, i started reading it today and i couldn't stop reading it. You had a very good way of writing this, your characters were really unique, and i really loved that about this story. I thought it was amazing...are you going to write a sequel to this story? I would really love to see what else would happen...or who that guy was...:) Well anyways great story i really enjoyed reading it. ^^

I am in love with the way this ended, and I love this epilogue to pieces! Sequel, perhaps?

I waited until the end to comment again. Daniel Chandler is one of the most interesting characters I've ever had the pleasure to read about. His story is so touching and everyone can relate to him; maybe not in the 'I'm a rock star and fell in love with my guitarist' sense, but he was looking for love and he found it. I just think there's something so wonderful about the entire story and I've babbled on about it so many times. I think this will be the last time I have the chance to babble though, so I'll make it a good one. 'In books, you know when you're in love, when you've found the person you want to spend forever with. With Ben I never felt that.' This line really touched me. Maybe because I was so pessimistic about love before I read this story, I didn't think it existed at all, but now I know that it exists somewhere and it's out there for some people. So often people go through life only thinking they know love, when really it's always only a shadow of what it could be. I enjoyed reading about Danny and Jeff's story and I guess I should tell you that your writing will haunt me for life. ~ BG

i hate how the guitar player in this chappie isn't Ben...i know its not Ben b/c Ben had/has blonde hair, not black...and its breaking my heart how Dan loves this random guy...

I loved it...I can't really say what it was about it that i loved so much...i think it was the honesty...reading it, the story unfolded in my mind like one of those artsy inde films, beautiful in its brutal truth.

Hey Blake i just wonna let you know that i absolutely love your story and i think that your a pretty good writer.therefor i think you should keep on writing and become the amazing author i believe you can become...um so keep writing and write a sequel pretty please, it would make so happy:D

Only two chapters left; really? Well hopefully the final two will be epically long and a few of my questions will be answered. I actually just started reading this probably and hour ago, which is why I haven't commented so far. I truly do love this. At first I didn't think I would like it because of the setting (mostly the date), but I honestly think that makes it all the more better. Keep up the good work and hopefully you'll be updating sometime soon!
