I think you mean 'count'

I don't know quite what the intended message of this poem was, was it to show the damage that drinking does? Because, it's kind of right- drinking does pickle your liver...

but I don't think the problem with binge drinking is that people don't know the alchohol content...I know people that drink alcopops solely because you can get drunk very fast...and you're pretty right...they do taste nice compared to stronger spirits.

'These distilled spirits drowned out my woes,

But they did little to stiffle my blows.'

Odd choice of last words...I wonder what you meant by that.
