Wonderfully done!

I don't see many sonnets around here, and it's nice to read one for a change. The flow is smooth, the thoughts easy to follow, but all the same I had to puzzle once or twice over your meaning.

'I'd breathe, then slowly head into the dark' really jumped out at me. A beautiful image.
