This looks interesting, I like it so far.

yay, new story! You've got a cast of really likeable characters here, even if Ian has bit to learn...

The only thing that bothered me, was Emmy's independence. I mean, what's a six year old doing home alone, or alone with strangers, that sort of thing.

Overall, good start! Can't wait for more.
