I sincerely doubt it has anything to do with it, but this poem really reminds me of the vultures that like to float in front of Nordhoff, just waiting for the frightened little freshmen to make their way out. Bwahahahaha. *ahem* very nice chicka

Powerful, as a whole this piece was just poignant. There was so much depth to it. The comparison of the friends and family to vultures was really clever and unique. Towards the end I felt this sense of mourning, this shred of sadness. You conveyed that sense of loss wonderfully here.
