Maybe if you'd taken more time to explain what you were writing...not only is the subject matter in poor taste, but the writing is pretty bad, and you make pretty big jumps. "It was the best day of my life" to "I remember the smell of charred flesh when I see the wristbands"? Charred flesh has very negative connotations, so you need to either make it seem funny, or take some time to shift the tone of the piece. And is this a poem or what? If it's a poem...oh, I got so many problems if this is supposed to be poetry. And if it's a short story...well, you need more. |
