abuseI'm just gonna say it-the beginning is cliche. VERY. The reader's first impression isn't wrong, because she is an assassin, it's just that the intro makes the reader think it's another one of those story-lines we've heard over and over. Maybe you should try to personalize it to the story a bit? But I do like the characters a lot! Very nice descriptions on them. I'm really interested in the way this zodiac world works, there's a lot of possible word play and ironies that could come! For the most part, I think all the action is directed beautifully. (if that makes sense X) The reply of "never" at the end confuses me a bit. It seems like the opposite of what he was asking... anyway, can't wait to read more!

abuseI have to admit, I'm a little skeptical about the whole Zodiac theme- but this has proved to be an interesting and intruging first chapter. ^_^
