I like this. The fact that you're a Christian yourself (you said on your profile) made this a lot stronger, I think. Maybe just because you're writing about something you care about? I don't know...but anyway, it seemed really powerful to me.
I also liked that one of her last thoughts was metaphorical...reminds me of myself :)

Absolutely amazing! This is so far the best story I have read on this site. Beautiful wordflow and I LOVE the perspective. It is such a picture of the Bride of Christ laying everything aside to follow Him no matter the cost. How little we (in America) really fathom concerning persecution. We need an awakening. This stirs me to think of our brothers and sisters in Christ who ARE being persectued around the world... and to wonder how long it will be before we too experience it here.

Anyway - wonderful work that honors the King. Keep writing for HIM!

Nice work! I liked how the victim doesn't seem that worried about her impending death. It shows that she's at peace with where she is in her faith. I think the best death, as far as honor goes, is dying for something you believe in.
