abuseThis was a very 'wanting' poem that conveys plenty of frusteration and agony, especially with the fabulous introduction.

'Banging my head on the grand piano/waiting for your voice to trickle out'

That makes me think about how more intelligent people have the hardest fucking time trying to get the people they're in love with them to love them back, least of all get them to notice them. It's like a soap opera for us, we mindlessly write poetry or letters to ourselves about why this person is the 'one' when in truth we know we're getting nowhere or we're being a Romeo 'in love with the concept of love'.

'don't say you haven't/thought of me...'

This whole sentence would be useless I think without the eclipse, it gives it its whole definition of doubt and yearning again that's a constant theme throughout the poem.

'bit white pony'

My minds in the gutter, I think pony should be replaced with the word porn. Just because people usually have erotic fantasies of people they admire, love, cherish before they may even be acquainted with them. How many times do guys in high school masturbate to girls in a year? What a question.

'how much i love being in love
but it is harder, sometimes
to whistle through your lips
rather than mine'

There we go, exactly what I was saying about being a Romeo. And it is difficult, it takes a very strong and less selfish person to read someone else's point of view and surrender ones own. Especially when you're not the eye of their affection. But knowing how my mind works ... :P

Beautiful piece.

Bah, that philosopher had a messed up childhood and picked on Christianity to death. I almost feel sorry for the Big Giant Zombie in the sky.

Peace,

abuseI like this, esp. the summary and the last 4 lines (and the first 3)...basically the whole poem.
