frezbo 5/1/08 . chapter 1I never realised anyone would feel so bad about eating oranges! They are a great source of vitamin C, you know - maybe that will help rid you of some guilt? I think what I liked about this poem, was the absolute vividness - the everyday moment, something that is not unremarkable but should still be celebrated. |
Walrus Lover 2.0 3/4/08 . chapter 1 I didn't know eating oranges was sinful. -Wally |
S. M. Saves 2/17/08 . chapter 1I love the vividness the poem decribes of the process of eating an orange. Obviously, it's a seedless orange or I would have suggested that you put in something about those oranges that have on average three to five seeds per section. (I hate THOSE oranges!) Thank you for the wonderful read. I got a kick out of it since I sometimes have problems eating oranges. |
MSU Emily 2/16/08 . chapter 1Great poem, really avid description, nice word choices. To me, the poem feels like it needs a few more lines, kinda leaves me hanging as to why this is a poem, why eating oranges is worth it to you despite the mess. Re-reading that, it sounds kind of high minded, but also how I felt. Haha. Overall, really great job! |
Ivory Willow 2/16/08 . chapter 1cool poem! Sticky fingers are always a problem for me when I'm eating an orange. |
