elasticbobaturtle 2009-01-07 . chapter 1This feels so heart-felt and sincere. I really feel drawn into the characters' emotions and perspectives, particularly the narrator's. Especially the part, "There is nothing worse than meanings getting lost through translation." I think that really captures the uncertainty that the two people feel. As in, are we really feeling the same thing? Or do I just think that we are? And the suppression that results because of that uncertainty; the inability to really reach out and "convey a gesture of peace, comfort, and love to show I cared." I definitely know the awkwardness of that when a friend is hurting and I'm not sure of what to do. Anyways, it was a lovely piece. Thanks for sharing :) |
Doxology 2008-08-27 . chapter 1I can't get over how great this is. I've let it sink in. My favorite part was, "...and orange lit fields in the afternoon, you will find a house at the end of everything." It's just astonishing. As is how much I can relate (but not really.) Superb.
Cheers,
