Poetry reads just like any other sentence; beginning a new line doesn't mean there's pause. If you want to specify a pause, you have to put a comma in there somewhere. And of course you have to use periods to end a sentence.
You also don't have to capitalize the beginning of every line. It makes it look not so poetic. So just capitalize after every period.
I feel like the rhythm was sacrificed in some cases for you to rhyme. Stanza four, for example. |
