| Oracle of Destiny 2008-03-25 ch 1, | abuseI really like this poem as it is very true in a way. Everyone in the world has secrets of their own and we are all not perfect as we have flaws of our own. Great job with this! |
| Julius Gillian 2008-02-20 ch 1, | abuseWhy does being able to manipulate somehow make you feel less than perfect? All these things are human, it's society and culture that promote or deny things. You're a byproduct of what your class, ethnic group, friends, family, and culture believe. The most evident of these cross cultural rules is roles of male and females. Beliefs are less rigid than you think, and truth is more relative than most people give credit to. Being selfish is completely human, being kind and compassionate is completely human, and being evil (which is completely relative again) is human as well. The optimistic side of this is that you're able to reason with your emotions and expel negative thoughts and do good deeds when the opposite threatens to seduce you. I'm afraid you're just looking at it in a negative way. Being selfish is controllable however, and regardless if you believe in some religion or not, having self-command and being kind and polite, even if inside you don't feel like it or don't mean it, is a maturity that many people fail to meet. Morality is a messy subject. |
