kelsi bones 2008-03-17 . chapter 3Okay, apparently i need to quote scripture at you after all =P.
It is not a sin to be in love. Nowhere at. all. in the Bible does it say that.
To break from your marriage and have sex with someone else, yes. To randomly fornicate with someone, yes. It doesn't say that it's a sin to be in a loving, caring relationship with someone of the same sex. It tells you not to lie with a man as you would lie with a woman (and vice versa, in our case), but at those times, they were very big on roles. A woman was submissive, a man was dominant. To the people in biblical times, it was a sin to change those roles in any way.
Most of that is also found in Leviticus. The Levitical Code no longer matters. The Code also states that two crops can't be grow in the same field, a woman can't be seen while she has her period, and it's an abomination to eat shellfish. When the New Testament was written, all those laws were applicable.
So, stop worrying darling. God loves you, no matter who you chose to love. As long as your love is pure and true, that's what matters. Not the persons gender.
Hope i helped a little =]

Though that's no good coming from me, the flawed falling cynic.
It is a beautiful, scared, desperate prayer. And I wish I could help you feel stronger, yet know through this you are. More than I could ever be. :) |
