| Let It Rain 2008-04-30 ch 5, | abuseThis is breathtaking. I especially like the last few lines because they seem so relevant to my life right now. That's the beauty of poetry; the *click* when words are so perfect that it seems the poet has seen your soul and written it down. It seems that the words have always been in you, and the poet brings them out. The first half of the poem, too, feels relevant. I completely agree with you, but I've caught myself putting other people down, as if it makes me any better. Recently I've been keeping an eye out for people who seem to truly live that "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" rule. They're few and far between, and very precious. Thank you for making me think. :-) |
