metatextual 2008-03-30 . chapter 1ah so many people like this.
i like how it seems like a pep talk, a compliment. and then the end is quick and caustic |
IdeasInTheAir 2008-03-03 . chapter 1Wow, this is hard to comprehend. The meaning could be taken so many different ways, but maybe it is that one could be going through life's dangers and enjoy the ride, thinking that everything is okay, and they are perfect. Kind of like they are sustained by their own self assurence. But then, it all comes apart.
This is one of my favourites. Deep and complex, truely.
Well donee!
Smiles for you!

Lost in A World of Pain 2008-03-02 . chapter 1Hey there, back trying to catch up reviewing your poems. This is one of your shorter ones, but in my opinion, one of your most profound. A little one the darker side, yet I can't help but like it all the more for it. The last two lines are the most prolific for me. Because it is so true to life regarding the fact that whenever something happens to you or any knowledge regarding you is out there, you're always the last person to know. So, if I get this right (sorry if its wrong), but the way I see it is that a person goes through life, and it is tough, like jumping through firey hoops while eventually something happens, such as the rope snapping, and life seems to crumble around you. And all one can do as everything comes apart is try to smile. Hope it makes sense. Great poem, going on my fav list! |

Daiysis 2008-02-24 . chapter 1great piece you have here... so seductively true. The last three lines really sealed it up nice and easy, keep it coming ^-^

lost for words 2008-02-24 . chapter 1falling, falling... snapping rope, hitting the floor. Nice and dark, and good.
When you say "they snap", you mean the fire hoops...?
The last line hits hard and sad, for some reason. The idea of not knowing how terrible one is.
