Greetings! I'm sorry to say I didn't read this one with a critical eye, just one to see what you were doing with your characters. I really like Kato--did right from the beginning. The whole time, he reminded me of a child. Almost like he'd gotten stuck when he was kicked out of his parents' house. Oh and his brother is a bastard. Gr. >8{

I think Alex could have avoided a lot of his heartache if he'd tried to communicate a little more with Kato, but ehn, that added a huge measure of believability to the work.

They work well as a couple and I like them together. Well done. I thought the ending of the last chapter was priceless. Made me laugh and left a great over-all impression of the story to walk away will. Cheers!

Alrighty, I read this entire story while it was already complete and I was going crazy seeing the lack of reviews. But... I ... don't really know what to say. This isn't really even a review, more like... fawning. o.o

Gorgeous writing, funny, beautiful, heart-wrenching, dramatic, romantic, sexy. Too often I find myself reading a few chapters into a story only to close out before it ends out of utter lack of interest. Just want to say... Keep up the good work, I really hope to see more of your great writing >.

Well, I was going to start this review by saying, "I live!" but I am sorry to announce that, after reading that wonderful, wonderful chapter, I have died of a fatal heart attack and nosebleed, and have been sent to Yaoi Heaven.

But, yeah. If it wasn't obvious already, this is GaoYunYun. I changed my penname, for the last time. :D

Anyway, a wonderful way to end a wonderful story. This chapter made me giggle, which is awesome, because I never giggle. I'm more of an evil snicker type person, you see.
Nothing much else to say, other than that I'm going to miss Kato and Alex, (or, Kalex...mwaha! They officially have a pairing nickname from me), and Siva, and everyone else. But, if I ever get to writing--and actually finishing--a yaoi of my own, I'll definitly be stopping by for some inspiration.

So, yeah. Thank you for sharing the tale of Kalex with us, and keep up the wonderfully tasty work.

Hello, new fan here~

I stumbled across this 'What if' series a couple days ago on a livejournal community. It was an excellent read! The tension always kept me clicking forward to the next chapter. My favorite moment in the series was probably when Utaban got a cameo in passing though. Best Japanese program ever. I love Nakai~ But of course there were many other fantastic scenes, as well as some exceptionally hot smex.

When I finished 'What if' (actually, I think I was waiting for chapter 18 to be released ^^;) I discovered your other series 'It's never too late or so they say...' which I found to be just as entertaining.

Just thought I'd let you know I enjoy your work, and I hope to see more from you soon. (more 'What if' related oneshots? I hope so~)

This was a super-cute chapter, and is offically one of my favorites. Even though we still have a long time until Christmas comes again, I'm in a jolly mood now! Ho ho ho!

Aw this was just so sweet kato being paranoid about alex cheating on him as if he would do that to him after everything they've been through.

A jealous kato is a good thing in my book at least it shows that he cares enough about his kukki to trust him even if he's still a little unsure of himself and his place with alex,alex certainly put that fear to rest with his gift of his friends and family coming in from japan for a surprise visit with him because he was getting home sick.

Okay, so it didn't take me a couple of days to finish -- only one. I see now why these characters stayed with you. Kato, especially, was well-done -- he's a nice, lonely guy who's just a little too used to everything being about him. And Alex had his dreams crushed a little when he realized his hero was human, with human flaws, but then it all came full circle and everything was okay.

Sigh. Great, satisfying story.

That was very good! I had been checking my email everyday for this chapter.

I'm so happy thay kato did in fact come for his man. and alex finally got what he had hope for the love he so wanted from kato is now out in the open and kato conceded a lot of his power over to alex to show that he can be vunerable were alex is concerned.

Even through alex was dating, no body could ever feel the void that was left when he felt kato did not love him.

He couldn't even bring himself to have sex with klemen even through he liked him and they had a lot in common he still was not kato.

So i'm glad my two favorite men made up.

And kato even went so far as to purchase a house in slovenia to be near alex, and he took a year off from touring just to prove that he was serious about being sorry for the way alex had felt during their time together.

Now as for shoji he's were he needs to be in that hospital for the rest of his life were he can not hurt his brother or his lover and family even more so than he did in the past.

I'm looking forward to the epiloque.
