Kate Marshall 2008-12-31 . chapter 1
Hello there!

I love how you started it. I'd only read a few words and I felt like I was living it. And I particularly love the lines,

piles of memories buried deep, Forgotten.
a Riot
beneath the ashes of the next.

-and the ending. I think the stanzas could've been a little different, but the poem was really quite pretty. ;D

PS- Love the inspiration. It's nice when authors write it, too. It gives me a better idea to relate with. ;D ;D ;D

Wow, I loved the way everything fit in this poem. I can't find anything that I didn't like. A very good job. My fav line is "piles of memories buried deep, Forgotten.
a Riot
beneath the ashes of the next." Makes perfect sense.

really lovely imagery, very evocative. My only suggestion is that it might be better in stanzas; more organised and clear, and I think it would look better. other than that, great poem!

smeared across a surface of white."

The simplicity was what drew me to this poem, it flowed well and all that needed to be said was said. Very effective.

Keep writing.
