I loved the depression it gave me when the last sentence was read. It was pretty sad because of all the things that have been destroyed...

I don't have many suggestions, but maybe you could change the last sentence. Just my opinion though, it's good but could be better.

Did this used to end at the line 'Maybe, I too will be covered.'...? Because I like that better. This is still one of my favorites. Really pretty, especially when you say it out loud.
