There are just these really long chapters in which not much happens but you loose the sense of that because you're become so invested in the little details of their lives. I like that there's no Deus es Machina kinda thing going on, it's just two guys that become friends and so on. I really like all the characters, too. Great job. Mattie--I gave Matthew a special nickname xD--is so loveable with his socially awkward personality; I wanna huggle him. And Caleb is just too cool, man. Love your characters! They're quite believable and easy to like and they have depth too. Poor Julie. That is quite the sob story for a little girl. It makes me want to shower her in ice cream and teddy bears. I just have one suggestion. Add a bit of description and flair to your stories. Less telling, more showing. -nod, nod- Anywho, I was quite taken with this story and await the next chapter eagerly.
