Oh my God, this poem hit very close to home. I've struggled with self-injury for a while and just recently gotten to the point where I can say I've put it behind me. I've read a lot of poems about the topic, but none quite as beautiful and powerful as yours.

I love how you captured the passive-aggressive relationship and personified the razor, for starters. You captured how destructive it is perfectly. And I love the second part, dedicated to the razor, where you find the strength to overcome it. S.I. is a serious and terrible thing, but poems like this and people like you are proof that it can be overcome. Not only that, but your imagery and the way the poem flows is amazing. You took something commonly seen as so ugly and made it beautiful by showing that it can be beat.

You did a fantastic job. This is going on my favs list pronto.

This really is true. I'm glad you're able to look at this situation with at least a bit of optimism, to know that there really is hope somewhere. A lot of people experience this, and I'm sure tons of them (me included) would be happy to read this!

Oh gosh. This is very, very deep. Very deep and very stunning. This gave me the chills, seriously. I especially love "Someday I'll no longer be an addict.

I relate to this so well. I think I may relate to this one more than any of your other ones actually.. this is going on the favourites list. It's written perfectly and all of it is so true. And recovery is one of the greatest things ever :D

The deception of the blade in this is so true. I'm glad the subject is able to realize that deception, and start to break away.

I like the idea of it being a letter and the ending from recovering was a really nice piece.. I actually liked the second letter best though... i dunno the first one didnt seem as powerful, but it;s still a really nice piece
