I like the similes a lot and I love how you used the last word in one line to start the next one, but I wasnt a big fan of repeating There they stand/row upon row, but other than that was a nice piece

I like the before-and-after effect you gave. Personally I'm one for imagery, but everyone has their own styles and you did wonderfully on this. Great job.
