it took me several read throughs to get it. i liked it though. it sort of leaves you with a sense of abandonment.

I like how you started out so 'generally' - you never really explain where 'here' is. It lets the imagination roam and allows the reader to get his or her own meaning out of it. =)

Personally, I was reminded of another world - an Alice in Wonderland type of place. I don't know why, because you probably didn't mean to do this, but this was my interpretation.

Just an error I noticed. When you say in 'plane sight', I think you mean 'plain' sight. ;P
