The world is burning to the ground.. matchbox20 song reference or a coincidence?

I like the the rhyming and the description of the corruption, but the children's thing.. yes its true the world will be there, but I think yea teens maybe should have a say but children are really too young to understand the issues... anyhow still a great piece witha really great message at the end

At first glance, your rhyming is fairly consistent (I assume the second line should end in 'fed'). Two lines that seemed to stop the flow in its tracks were 'But nobody things to ask us so-/-how can we make an impact on,' I reread those lines about 5 times before moving on to finish the piece.
Occasionally you have grammatical errors such as using 'worlds' instead of 'world's'.
