abuseThis is the sort of poem I have to read more than once. Perhaps even close the window and come back to it, and I had to come back to it. Like some sort of fate. There is nothing immediately life-altering in these words, but does that mean they are dirt to be walked upon? Of course not. They are someone's soul, yours I'm presuming if you're reading this. Yet the contrast between childhood innocence and the fatal noose of the reality of knowing is still portrayed here. I don't know. But I like this, and I like your style. Good job.


By the by, it was quite freaky. I saw your name and started humming "Lady" by Regina Spektor as I clicked on the link to your profile saw the lyrics. Sort of creepy, don't you think? I actually had those lyrics on my account for a while, but took them off about a month ago. I've been neglecting my poetry anyway. I don't know why I'm saying all this, so sorry. Anyway, good poem.
