I like this poem a lot. It really conveys the regret for mankind's selfishness. Two thumbs up, my friend!

You have some nice juxtapositions here, but some border on some cliche ideas -particularly the lines about the child. I like the Mother Nature imagery, though.

How can you say this isn't polished? Its such a beautiful poem it reminds me of the earth hour message... "I am just one person what can I do?" but with a more in your face attitude! Love this poem!
