Some con-crit: Some of the thoughts seem really disjointed because you've separated them into lines; I think lines 4 and 5 in particular should be one single (albeit long) line.

Here, being the center of the universe doesn't sound so great; more like an unwanted load to carry. I like the simplicity of this; the way the narrator seems resigned to his/her fate and it is simply stating the facts.

I love this new take on the center of the universe thing. It's a break from the center of the universe person being referred to as a snob.
