Aberrant Lycanthrope 2009-04-13 . chapter 40
Ah, all good things must end... no? I'm enamoured. I eagerly await the next installments... Though I must say, I simply hate waiting for authors (an undeniably indecisive bunch) to finish series that I am attached to. Alas, I will have to wait.

I just have to say, all of your characters are immensely fucked up. Cornelia most especially.

incredible! got hooked on mark of thorn: book of scars, and never looked back. i always remember your writing because it is mature, the characters and plot unfold naturally, there's no cliche'd "saw that ending coming a mile away" crap, everyone has depth, and the pace of the action is just right, i never feel like i'm languishing in one subplot. i can never read just one chapter of this story, you're so good at writing tension that i always have to keep going just so i can know what happens next! i definitely felt a little despair when there was a month or so of no posting, because i really didn't want this to live unfinished in my memory.

only thing i didn't like about this story was hendrik overtaking gabriel as the male-focus towards end! gotta say that i'm still a loyal fan of his majesty. those good-looking, secretive, and insightful types always get me. though, to be fair, i guess it's finally time to have a better peek into hendrik's mind and past!

absolutely *cannot* wait until book 3 starts! please end my suffering!

Would I possibly be able to bribe you into posting the first chapter of the Book of Wolf?

I'm sad to see the Book of Beauty end, but the slew of chapters are very much appreciated. Thank you for tying it up so nicely. I am eager to see what will come with Wolf.

An intensely satisfying read. The characters are (mostly) strangely likeable, intriguing and flawed (yes!). The twists and turns keep coming, and the plot is intricate while still accessible. Your stories are a pleasure to read; I (and I am sure all of your readers) appreciate the time and thought you put into these stories, and for letting us read them.

Can't wait to find out how the story resolves itself!

Sque! *Head explodes* Hendrik grows more and more into my favorite character. I kinda want a Hendrik...for my very own!

I am very grateful for the onslaught of chapters. I like seeing Diego's gentleman side, I know he must have struggled to let such a fortune go. On the other hand, I feel almost cheated on by Hendrik! I can't believe he slept with Barbara, even though it *was* for the purpose of her murder. And where is Gabriel in all of this? I really cant wait to see the next few chapters. Thank you for writing.

Wonderful, darling, just as I expected. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for 37!

=O what's in the box?

Two new chapters, and both are gripping. The suspense of dawn is really gnawing at me, I can't wait to find out how this will all turn out. I have a feeling Hendrik will go on and take the chalice anyway. Thank you for updating.

Hello Lani, thank you for updating. Im sure you probably dont feel too inclined to write and update very often with lack of reviews, but there are loyal readers out there who really adore your work. Dont lose faith, your pieces are amazing, and they are delightful treats to enjoy after a long day. Hope to see more updates soon

Whew, I've finally caught up! I loved the twist with this chapter--that the loss of the chalice would kill the family. I wondered why their perfect skin kept being harped on, and now I understand. I thought that the scholar's ranting about scars being passed on would be more relevant toward finding the third, and really have nothing to do with the chalice.

I still love the idea of Hendrik and Cornelia together. Her relationship with Gabriel seems kinda nonexistent except in her mind. Besides, although Cornelia failed to truly tame Ambrose, it would be sort of poetic if she managed to do so to Hendrik. Not too much of course, because Hendrik is fantastic the way he is. I like Gabriel also, but just not for Cornelia. I'm still holding out hope that he will find Rapunzel.

I am liking Diego less, simply because he has yet to gain importance to the overarching plot. I'm just waiting for his secrets to be revealed.

Thank God that you killed Keagan off. He was annoying, and it would have been disappointing if he had been the third.

In the meantime, I think I may have to read your Alice in Wonderland story. Just make sure to keep working on this!
