Franziska 2008-04-04 ch 1,	abuseVielleicht kann ich dies als Nicht-Muttersprachler nicht objektiv beurteilen, aber ich finde deine englischen Gedichte (wie die beiden Sonnette Little Things und Reply to the Canzoniere, aber auch die beiden letzten Gedichte) besser als die deutschen. Ist der Schachspieler-Poet ein Mensch aus Fleisch und Blut oder handelt es sich um deine männliche Laura? Die neue Forschung verdächtigt nämlich Petrarca, dass sie als Idealbild erfunden zu haben. Als Dante-Fan brauchte er wohl eine Beatrice. Aber die Einschätzung ist echt ganz subjektiv. Mein Englisch bedürfte der Auffrischung. So hätte ich bei der Baltic Sea-Geschichte statt „like me“, „so am I“ schreiben sollen. Ich drückt auf den Button und habe die Erleuchtung
Fyxthamnzwik 2008-03-26 ch 1,	abuseI noticed you used 11, 10, 11, 10 for meter. sonnets are done in iambic pentameter. 10 beats per line. this is done to draw attention to the rhyme at the end of each line because the way you read it is to emphasize every other syllable. the tenth syllable always gets stressed in each line, therefore enhancing the overall rhyme scheme of the sonnet. other than that, excellent work. the tone is consistent and the message seems heart-felt
