This was good. I was guessing at reincarnation and you pulled it off very well. I'll be interested to see how this story really unfolds but you've already surprised me at how well it's written. Keep it up.

You had a couple verb tense problems like here: "Actually, Katie feared getting close to people in case they end up hurting her, which is why she pushes them away with embarrassing comments and awkward moments" This should have been: "Actually, Katie feared getting close to people in case they ended up hurting her, which is why she pushed them away with embarrassing comments and awkward moments" There was once when you wrote "japanese". You might want to change that.
