I really liked the narrator. I connected with him. It felt like a real story, in a memoir way. Is it based off truth? It's really sweet either way. I like how he refers to her as "my girl." I can really relate to this guy. I wish it wasn't a one-shot. =^^= |

I don't know why, but I think that's Fictionpress's doing since it's been happening a lot in other stories... Thank you for explaining the difference between stand-by and hibernation. My dad is an engineer yet I did not know the difference until now. :( I love how he goes through phases of his affection toward her, and then it turns to love. Although I find the part with her exboyfriend a bit abrupt in the end, it did give a good medium for an ending. :) nice piece. keep it up with all your writing! :D |

It's a fantastic short story, you didn't make it cliche by the guy confessing his love to her, but made it original yet different, loved it, it's great! Tecna ;) |
